On May 22, 2007, Shanghai Creative Industry IPR Protection League was set up by the Shanghai Creative Industry Center to protect creative industrial copyrights from possible infringements.
Reportedly the league is a self-disciplined organization designed to safeguard IPR in creative industries. Through self-discipline, it promotes the implementation of laws and regulations for trademarks, patents and copyrights in the participating enterprises’ actions, provides members with legally licensed contents and services and helps them protect their rights at low costs.
Currently more than 30 creative industrial clusters have joined the league. In the next two or three months, 75 licensed creative industrial clusters from Shanghai will contract with the in-coming enterprises on joining the league.
