On May 24, 2007, the 10th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo was unveiled under the theme "Innovation and Development."

The six-day expo was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Information Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, State Intellectual Property Office and Beijing Government. It included seminars, high-tech exhibitions, six business talks, eight forums and a large employment fair. 

According to statistics, since 1998, the previous nine expos have had 145 high-level forums and exchange activities and attracted 3 million people from about 100 countries or regions. About 10,000 companies or institutions from China or other countries have presented their leading high-tech products during the expos.
