From January to May, customs in China seized 27,000 batches of suspected infringing goods and detained 30.86 million suspected infringing goods. Since 2021, the customs nationwide have carried out the "Blue Net Action 2021" to protect intellectual property rights in delivery channels. Since May, the General Administration of Customs has organized the Guangdong branch and 21 customs offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc. to carry out the "Clean Net Action 2021", focusing on cracking down on illegal acts of transshipping infringing goods and forming regional linkages. It protects the network and effectively prevents the port drift of infringing goods. While cracking down on illegal importing and exporting infringing goods, it also guides enterprises to actively apply for the record of intellectual property rights with the customs. From January to May, the General Administration of Customs added 1,285 registered users of intellectual property protection filing, and 5629 filings were approved, including 4897 trademark rights, 292 copyrights, and 440 patent rights; 3,419 filing applications from domestic right holders, accounting for 61%; 2210 filing applications from overseas right holders, accounting for 39%.
