China patents and trademarks data, at a glance January 2022

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has recently published the data on the numbers of patent applications and trademark registration applications filed through January of 2022.

 

The invention patent application filings are 32,300 less than last January, down 33.04% year on year. The utility model patent application filings are 126,9000 more than last January, up 71.90% year on year. The design patent application filings are 249 less than last January, down 0.5% year on year.

 

The trademark registration application filings are 7,631,171, with an increase of 144,258, up 23.31% year on year.
