China's State Council has appointed Lu Pengqi (卢鹏起), previously Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), to be the deputy commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the human resources ministry said on Feb. 11.
Lu Pengqi, 57, a native of Yi county, Hebei province, has a doctoral degree in economics obtained from Renmin University of China. In 2012, he became the director of the Shaanxi Intellectual Property Office.
Lu Pengqi's predecessor is retiree Gan Shaoning (甘绍宁).
