H.-Peter Staudt, Dipl.-Ing., LL.M., has received an engineering diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany. He has received the graduate/second degree, with final thesis, Master of Laws (LL.M.) at FernUniversität in Hagen.

Prior to his practice as a patent attorney, Mr. Staudt has worked for about ten years as an engineer including development of Formula One race engines at BMW Motorsport GmbH.

In 1993, he qualified as a patent attorney and established his own law firm in Ingolstadt. He represents domestic and international clients worldwide in the prosecution, defense and enforcement of intellectual property rights. His areas of expertise include also drafting and negotiating license. He also had been a Patent Attorney Examiner appointed by the German Ministry of Justice as a member of the German Patent Attorney Examination Commission.
