The 5th annual APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair (APEC METC) will be held in Qingdao, Shandong province, China, from May 30 to June 2, 2008. Sponsored by China's National Development & Reform Commission, supported by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science & Technology, and Ministry of Commerce, and organized by the China Center for Business Cooperation and Coordination and Qingdao Municipal People's Government, it is an extraordinary opportunity for cooperation and exchange between international small & medium enterprises (SMEs).

The previous APEC METCs have been successful at strengthening cooperation and exchange in the areas of economy, trade, information, and technology among APEC members, and has aided them in the exploration of potential markets worldwide.
