The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has denied most of a Motorola Solutions petition to dismiss a Hytera Communications lawsuit alleging anti-competitive behavior against it and granted a subsequent antitrust lawsuit filed by Hytera, the company said on Aug. 29. On August 24, the court issued a memorandum opinion and ruling stating that eight of the nine allegations filed by Hytera against Motorola Solutions for anti-competitive behavior in the US market provided sufficient facts. The court's ruling marks a phased progress in Hytera's challenge to Motorola Solutions’ anti-competitive monopoly behavior.
