​​​As Thailand has set a goal of 2015 to obtain full membership to the Madrid Protocol which is getting closer, the amendments of Thai Trademark Act in relation to the Madrid system has been drafted since 2012 and should be ready by the year of 2014; however, it currently appears that the enactment is delayed due to the legislative process and unstable political situation in Thailand. Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) is currently pushing forward the enactment to complete and be ready for the accession of Madrid Protocol.
